Neil took over as Head Coach following Paul Rowley’s resignation on the eve of the 2016 season and steered the team to another successful season in the Championship before plotting a successful course through the Qualifiers to earn promotion to Super League, a fantastic achievement. A former player with the Club during the mid-1990s, Neil re-joined the coaching staff of Leigh Centurions in 2009.

An outstanding junior player, Leigh born Paul was snapped up by St Helens as a youngster and represented Great Britain Academy on their tour of Australia in 1996. He also played for Sheffield Eagles before joining Leigh in July 1999. He went on to score 50 tries in 103 appearances for Leigh before finishing his playing career with short stints at Oldham and Rochdale Hornets. After building up a fine reputation as a coach in the amateur game Paul was recruited to join the Centurions’ staff.

Paul joined Leigh midway through the 2016 season after finishing his commitments with Doncaster Knights RUFC where he had been engaged as skills and backs coach since 2013. He played with distinction for Hull FC, Hull Kingston Rovers and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, clocking up 280 Super League appearances in 12 seasons in the top flight. He scored the match-winning converted try in Hull FC’s dramatic 25-24 Challenge Cup Final victory over Leeds at Cardiff in 2005.

In his first full season as player-coach with Doncaster in 2014 he was chosen as Kingstone Press Championship Coach of the Year. He finished his distinguished playing career with a short stint at Featherstone Rovers. In September 2016 Paul unveiled his autobiography ‘Judas’ written in conjunction with Talk Sport broadcaster Adrian Durham.

Kieron joined Neil Jukes’ coaching staff in time for the start of the current season after his release from Huddersfield Giants. A highly respected level 4 coach Kieron has worked alongside some of the game’s best coaches since his playing career at Leigh Centurions was cruelly ended by a recurring shoulder injury in 2002.

He worked for St Helens from 2002-2005, for Huddersfield Giants from 2006-2008 and then returned to Saints from 2009-2012 before returning to the Giants. After being appointed coach to Canada in 2010 he has since been a highly successful coach to the England Knights.
