Centurions Announce Main Shirt Sponsors For 2017

Leigh Centurions are delighted to confirm the continuation of their kit deal with Kukri Sports for their home and away kit for the 2017 Betfred Super League campaign and to acknowledge the tremendous support of sponsors ahead of the kit launch scheduled for early December.

All the properties on the kit are now sold and over the next few days the Club will be acknowledging all its valued kit sponsors for 2017. We will be releasing other valued sponsors’ details and quotes over the course of the next few days.

For the first time in the Club’s history there will be separate main shirt sponsors for the home and away kits.

The main Leigh Centurions shirt sponsor for the home kit will be Cal Sameday: www.calsameday.co.uk

Mark Johnson, managing director of Cal Sameday said: “As a company we are immensely proud to be supporting Leigh Centurions as the main shirt sponsor of the Club’s home kit on the adventure back into the Betfred Super League.

“As a lifelong Leigh Centurions fan myself, I am absolutely thrilled and delighted to be supporting the Club in this way. We are sure that this is going to be a very successful and first-class winning partnership.

“We are all extremely excited and are looking forward to what promises to be a fascinating Super League season.”

Slater and Gordon’s National Practice Group Leader Stephen Lintott said: “Many people know of my strong passion both for the Leigh Centurions and Rugby League. I absolutely love the Club and have been a fan for many years.

“Seeing my company sponsoring the Club’s away kit in the Betfred Super League is a great honour and a real thrill. News of the sponsorship partnership has greatly excited many people within the company.

“For us as a company, such an association and working partnership is always very exciting and extra special when someone involved already has strong links and this is very much the case for me at Leigh Centurions. We are all looking forward to the new season with relish.”

Leigh Centurions Commercial Director Jason Huyton said: “I am delighted that so many valued businesses have backed the Club on its return to the Betfred Super League.

“We are all looking forward to an exciting year in 2017 and to have the commitment of so many quality businesses backing us in this way at such an early stage is a real testament to the ‘feel good’ factor around the Club.

“I am fortunate to have a Commercial Team of Neil Barker and Amanda Lee who have not only delivered exceptional customer service but a professionalism such that sponsors are confident in both them and the product as we look ahead to the great exposure we will receive next season.

“In the short time in my role it is apparent just how fortunate Leigh Centurions are to have such a fantastic pool of businesses who don’t just back the club for self gain; they also back it with a passion to see the club at the summit of Rugby League.

“I cannot thank them enough and such support gives tremendous confidence to all the directors at Leigh Centurions and demonstrates faith and backing for the Club’s policies and future plans.

“The sponsorship of the shirt has been a huge success and is echoed by the fact we now have disappointed businesses who didn’t make it this year, but have been asked to be given the opportunity to tender for next season.

“The early completion of all the kit sponsors also enables us to press ahead with ordering our home and kit in advance of Christmas for our valued supporters to add to their wish lists.

“The exact and eagerly anticipated home kit design will be revealed at a special supporters and sponsors evening in the coming weeks with details to be announced shortly.”
