Introducing 2018 Socks Sponsor DMR Training & Consultancy

Leigh Centurions are delighted to showcase further kit sponsors for the 2018 Championship campaign.

Sponsors of the socks are DMR Training and Consultancy Ltd (www.dmrltd.co.uk)

Dave Radley, DMR Managing Director said: “At DMR we are all extremely proud of being an official partner of Leigh Centurions.

“We were exposed to the working relationship with Leigh when we were the main sponsor for the Hull KR game in the Qualifiers. It was such an enjoyable experience and the way we were treated was second to none. The club went above and beyond what we agreed to and we were treated like royalty.

“From a personal point of view, and being a local lad, it was a day to remember being a part of a big event with my hometown club. From that day I became keen to explore ways of working with the club on a more permanent basis. I immediately got in touch with Neil Barker prior to the Million Pound Game to see if we could link up with the club in some capacity for the 2018 season.

“In the usual customary way that we have seen Neil operate, he reacted instantly and began to look at ways we could work together and that could benefit us as well as the club. I met with Neil and Jason Huyton a few weeks after that and the deal was done.

“To have our company logo displayed on the kit is something we are extremely proud of and to be a part of the journey for next season and hopefully beyond is something that really excites us.”

Dave Radley added: “We also agreed on the branding of the partnership being the Club’s official ‘Apprenticeship Partner’ which certainly helps us promote what we do and further demonstrates the club’s commitment in ensuring businesses involved with them get the exposure they desire.

“In every dealing we have had with the club so far, it is evident that they are as ambitious as ever and the professionalism they have shown is first-class. It is clear to see that the club is building for the future, not just on the field but off the field, and to be a part of that is special. The club is evidently developing a sustainable business model which is not only pleasing to see but to be involved in the journey is priceless for another local business.”

DMR Training and Consultancy Ltd offer a full complement of construction qualifications from Level 1 Health & Safety up to Level 6 Construction Management. They have a strong presence across the UK and have delivered over 600 qualifications in the last four years. DMR offers NVQs, Health & Safety qualifications, Apprenticeships, Traineeships and CSCS testing from our training facility in Leigh. They also offer consultancy support for construction companies, including supporting CITB grant support, government levy, quality assurance compliance support and careers advice and guidance. They have recently been added to the new government Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP) and have already started to work with levy paying employers in using their new digital accounts.

Mr Radley continued “DMR are looking to increase the participation in the local area of young people in Apprenticeships. We have secured the funding to deliver these courses and have strong relationships with local employers who are providing quality work placements for young people. The link with Leigh Centurions and the Apprenticeship Partnership further shows our commitment to working with the local community.

“Our aim is to ensure that young people in the area are aware of the opportunities available to them as they embark on careers after leaving school. We have very high success rates in the progression of young people into full time employment and sustainable careers. We believe that this not only helps the individuals involved but the community they serve.

“It is our belief that the Leigh Centurions club are of the same ilk and we have seen first-hand how they are moving forwards not only as a Rugby League club but as a sustainable business model that serves the local community.”
