Jordan Baldwinson Joins Leigh Centurions On One Month Loan Deal

Leigh Centurions are pleased to confirm the signing of Wakefield Trinity forward Jordan Baldwinson on a one month loan arrangement.

Baldwinson, 23, has commenced training at LSV and will be eligible for selection for Saturday’s Betfred Championship game at Featherstone Rovers.

Head Of Rugby Keiron Cunningham finalised the deal and acknowledged the assistance of both Trinity chairman Michael Carter and head coach Chris Chester.

Cunningham said: “Jordan has come up through the Leeds system and has extensive experience in the Champiosnhip with Featherstone Rovers. He is a proven Championship player and it’s really good to get him on board.

“Hopefully we will give him what he needs which is regular game time and the loan will benefit all parties. I’d like to thank both Michael and Chris for their help.”

A product of the Hunslet Warriors community club, Baldwinson was a member of the England Academy tour to Australia in 2012 and made his Leeds senior debut in 2013 before furthering his experience with a stint at New Zealand Warriors.

He returned to this country to play on loan at Bradford in 2014 before joining Featherstone for the 2015 season when he won the Championship Young Player of the Year Award.

He then returned to Leeds, making a further 14 appearances for the Rhinos over the past two seasons but playing extensively on dual registration with Featherstone, before joining Wakefield on a two-year contract last autumn.

Baldwinson passed his career century of games earlier this season and has scored eight tries in 102 career appearances, including seven in 76 games for Rovers.
