Centurions Team Up With Blackpool’s Manchester Bar For Summer Bash Weekend

LEIGH Centurions have again teamed up with The Manchester Bar in Blackpool in readiness for the Summer Bash Weekend later this month.

The Manchester Bar is where many Leigh Centurions will be meeting and congregating for the Bank Holiday Weekend’s action.

It is one of the resort’s most popular and well established venues and is highly popular with sports fans.

It is situated on the main Promenade close to Bloomfield Road where Leigh Centurions will be taking on the Toronto Wolfpack for a vital and important BETFRED Championship fixture on Saturday, May 26.

The Club has worked closely with The Manchester in the past and is again looking forward to making sure supporters going to the game feel at home there and are well looked after.

There will be exclusive food and drink offers for travelling Leigh Centurions’ supporters.

Leigh Centurions Business Development Neil Barker says: “We have been working closely with the Manchester Bar and they are really looking forward to making sure our fans are in good spirits and up for the big game.

“A warm and homely welcome is guaranteed.

“The Manchester is an iconic and well known central hostelry in Blackpool – it is right up our fans’ street as the ideal meeting place.

“The atmosphere inside and out should be great as everyone gears up for what is a massive match.

“The Summer Bash Weekend is a cracking concept and it has again generated enormous interest among our fans.

“I must thank the management at The Manchester for again going out of their way to forge this excellent working partnership to help our fans.

“They really relish and love the whole weekend in Blackpool and have said they really savour and enjoy the special camaraderie that exists between rugby league supporters.

“It is always good especially at the big games for fans to meet, mingle and enjoy and drink together.

“With Bloomfield Road just around the corner from The Manchester, there can be no better meeting place than this particular well-known pub and restaurant to become a meeting place.

“The atmosphere is sure to be very special there for the whole weekend.

“Many Leigh fans travelling to Blackpool are delighted to hear that this partnership is back in place.”

The Manchester has agreed a sponsorship with Leigh Centurions for the Summer Bash Weekend. Club Mascot Parky Pig is expected to join the fans at the pub. There will also be a charity raffle on Saturday, the 26th, to raise money for Leigh Community Trust.

Sarah Hark from the Stonegate Pub Company said;
