Centurions Team Up With The Manchester Bar In Blackpool Ahead Of Summer Bash

LEIGH Centurions have again teamed up with The Manchester Bar in Blackpool in readiness for the Summer Bash Weekend.

The Manchester Bar is where many Leigh Centurions will be meeting and congregating for the weekend’s action.

It is one of the resort’s most popular and well established venues and is highly popular with sports fans. It is situated on the main Promenade close to Bloomfield Road where Leigh Centurions will be taking on the Widnes Vikings for a vital and important BETFRED Championship fixture on Sunday 19 May.

The Club has worked closely with The Manchester in the past and is again looking forward to making sure supporters going to the game feel at home there and are well looked after.

There will be exclusive food and drink offers for travelling Leigh Centurions’ supporters with Leigh Centurions merchandise raffled to help support Leigh Community Trust, the Club’s community team.

Leigh Centurions CEO Matthew Chantler says: “We have been working closely with the Manchester Bar for a number of years and they are really looking forward to making sure our fans are in good spirits and up for the big game.

“A warm and homely welcome is guaranteed. The Manchester is an iconic and well known central hostelry in Blackpool – it is right up our fans’ street as the ideal meeting place. The atmosphere inside and out should be great as everyone gears up for what is a massive match. The Summer Bash Weekend is a cracking concept and it has again generated enormous interest among our fans. I must thank the management at The Manchester for again going out of their way to forge this excellent working partnership to help our fans.

Dominic Herdman from the Stonegate Pub Company said;

“The Manchester, one of Blackpool’s most renowned pubs, has joined the Centurions family, sponsoring Leigh Centurions to offer an official meeting point for the Summer Bash party along with some great incentives!

“As 2,000 fans plan their trip to UK’s answer to Vegas, post rugby celebration planning is essential and so ten-minutes’ walk from Bloomfield Road, the famous Promenade pub awaits luring party-goers and families with fabulous offers on food and drink.

“Sky Sports, and classic Blackpool cheese-fest party music promises to ‘illuminate your life’ from noon to midnight. Families get an under-5’s ball pool, mini kiddies arcade, as well as fantastic views of the seafront in the separate Family Bar, serving food noon–9pm. Fresh sea air also comes for free in the biggest sea-front beer garden on the promenade!

“So pop on your favourite ‘kiss me quick’ hat, take your Summer Bash pass down to claim your discount and join in the PARTY on the promenade!”
