Monday 10th July marked the one-year anniversary of our Ex-forces monthly breakfast club and we were extremely excited that Mr Tom Boardman (Second World War veteran and Far East POW) joined us with his son Ron for the celebrations. During the month of June SuperLeigh held two events to raise funds for Leigh Centurions. On 10th June we launched the 2017 Balloon Race that we had, with the help of friends and local pubs sold tickets for during a 5 week period. The winning balloon belonging to Michael Shaw travelled a distance of 54.26 miles to Harrogate where it was found by Kelly Barnes. Michael wins the first season ticket of 2018 and Kelly receives a cheque for £50.00. We raised a total of £485.50 from this event!! A…
