Dayne agreed terms with Leigh in July 2015 and at 6ft3 and weighing in at 16st7 will bring an imposing physical presence as well as top-flight experience to the Centurions pack as he follows in the long line of distinguished Australian players to play for the Club.

Hailing from Goulburn in south New South Wales Dayne earned a scholarship with Illawarra Steelers and began his top-flight career with Cronulla in 2007.

He subsequently played for North Queensland and Penrith and also in the Queensland Cup for Mackay Cutters and Burleigh Bears before joining Melbourne Storm midway through the 2013 season.

He has made a total of 80 NRL appearances and represented Queensland Residents in 2010. Dayne readily agreed to join new team-mates Ryan Brierley and Tom Spencer in being an ambassador for Leigh Community Trust.
