Leigh Centurions have further strengthened their community links by donating two season tickets to the locally based charity STEPScic in conjunction with courier and logistics firm Cal Sameday.

The donation has already proved to be a great success with members grasping the opportunity to watch Leigh Centurions in the Betfred Super League at LSV.

Leigh Centurions home kit main sponsors Cal Sameday director Mark Johnson was instrumental in setting up the arrangement.

Terry Mann from STEPScic said: “We are a Community Interest Company with services within Wigan and Leigh, providing opportunities for adults with a learning disability, mental health issues, physical disabilities and communication difficulties amongst others.

“The ethos behind our service is to provide meaningful activities that are skilled based which enable people to improve in all aspects of their lives. This encourages individuals to improve their skills, health and general well-being.

“As a “Community Interest Company” it is important to us to establish links and harness partnerships with groups and organisations that make up our communities.

“Using Rugby League as a vehicle for those who attend STEPScic is a great opportunity for our members to share their passion with other like-minded supporters.

“Leigh Centurions’ generosity is much appreciated by everyone at STEPScic.”
