Leigh Centurions are pleased to confirm the loan signing of St Helens centre Josh Simm.

The exciting prospect is no stranger to Leigh having spent time with the Club on dual-registration in 2019, earning #HN1486.

Simm has made four appearances for the Centurions, scoring one try. He made his Leigh debut in the memorable Summer Bash win over Widnes Vikings at Blackpool’s Bloomfield Road that year.

The centre became the first Leigh player to be born in the new Millennium. Born in February 2001 he also became one of the youngest players to represent the club in recent times.

The move is an initial two-week loan, which will then be reviewed on a week-by-week basis.

A product of St Helens’ Academy, 20-year-old Simm is the grandson of Saints legend Geoff Pimblett.

Simm scored 30 tries in 20 appearances for St Helens Academy in 2019 leading them all the way to the Grand Final. His form was rewarded as he made his first-team debut at centre against London Broncos in July 2019.

Simm played six times for Saints in Super League last season and has made one appearance in 2021.
