Leigh Centurions are proud to confirm that BMI The Highfield Hospital are now their official healthcare partner.

BMI The Highfield Hospital will be the Club’s health provider of choice in a partnership that again confirms Leigh Centurions’ commitment to the health, fitness and wellbeing of their players and staff.

As a full-time professional club, the partnership with The Highfield Hospital will be significant as players have access to specialist medical care in an established private hospital.

Leigh Centurions general manager Karen Roberts said: “We are delighted to continue this valued partnership as our players have fast access to specialist medical care from some of the region’s leading specialists.

“Rugby League is a physically demanding and highly competitive sport, especially at the top levels of the game, and ensuring we can do all we can to maintain the health and fitness of our players is a priority.

“Our partnership with The Highfield Hospital has proved to be an excellent one and it underlines the commitment we have as a club to our players, who each week for 11 months of the year put their bodies on the line in training and in matches for the team, the town and our loyal supporters.”

On behalf of The Highfield Sean Crooks, Executive Director, said: “Our partnership with Leigh Centurions is a great opportunity to offer professional athletes access to speedy diagnostic services and treatment. We are very proud to be in partnership with the club will follow the Centurions’ fortunes with great interest.

“The players will continue to have access to some of the most advanced medical equipment, specialist healthcare and expertise available from experienced consultants who work alongside a specialised healthcare team. The team includes dedicated nursing staff, anaesthetists, radiologists, working professionals and Chartered Physiotherapists.”

Leigh Centurions were founder members of the Rugby Football League in 1895 and have deep roots in the local community. Under the direction of head coach Adrian Lam, the 2020 Betfred Super League Coach of the Year and assistant coach to world champions Australia since 2016 they have assembled a strong squad of talented, full-time professional players from around the Rugby League playing world.
