Leigh Centurions are inviting all Leythers to head down to Leigh Sports Village to wave off the squad this Friday, as they head down to the capital in preparation for the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final against Featherstone Rovers.

This will be the biggest stage that Leigh will have played on in over 50 years and promises to be a fantastic occasion for the town.

The team is due to set off on Friday 28th May at 10:30am at LSV and are advising fans who wish to attend to head down to the ground for 10am.

Following on from our fantastic back-to-back victories against Sheffield Eagles in both the Betfred Championship and AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Semi-Final, Adrian Lam’s men went from strength to strength with a 52-0 away victory over Batley Bulldogs and 58-6 win over Workington Town at home.

On the Final, Head of Rugby Chris Chester said: “The support the Leigh fanbase has given this team so far this season has been nothing short of tremendous.”

“Cup final days don’t come around often and this Saturday will prove to be a battle of the very best sides in the Championship, who are both playing at the peak of their powers.

“In my eyes, this final isn’t just about the team. It is also about you, the fans, and giving you a chance to show off the Cherry and White down in the capital at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“We, as a squad, are doing everything we can to make sure we come back to Leigh with the 1895 Cup and we would be blown away if the fans could get down to LSV on Friday to show their support.”
