Leigh Centurions edged closer to a return to Super League as they overcame Featherstone to maintain their 100% start to the Qualifiers.

Reni Maitua and Mitch Brown crossed in the first half for a 12-8 lead, Josh Walters replying for Rovers.

Matty Dawson, Micky Higham and Gareth Hock secured a 16th successive win for Leigh, although tries from Luke Briscoe and Kyle Briggs ensured a nervy finish.

Leigh and Leeds are the only two sides with maximum points in the Qualifiers.

After finishing top of the Championship, the Centurions have won their first three games since the start of the Super 8s as they bid to get back into the top flight for the first time since 2005.

Centurions Announce Squad For Featherstone Clash

Leigh Centurions have named their 19 man squad ahead of Sunday’s Super 8s Qualifiers Round 3 game at Featherstone Rovers on Sunday (3pm).

Subject to availability, tickets will be on sale until 12.00pm on Saturday 20th August 2016.

Leigh Centurions season ticket holders who are aged under 18 years are entitled to a free ticket for this game (subject to availability). When entering through the turnstiles on match day, supporters will need to present both their under 18 season ticket as well as their match ticket.

The Winner Of The Superleigh Lottery Balloon Race Is ….
